Hot Pot appears in different forms the world over. Generally, we know it as a type of fondue. East Asian varieties start with a pot of stock simmering at the centre of the dining table. While the hot pot simmers, diners place ingredients into the pot and cook these ingredients while they chat. Typical hot pot ingredients include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, and seafood. When the food is cooked, it’s customary to dip it in a special sauce. Hot pot meals are a great winter dish – the more food cooked in the pot, the tastier and more nourishing the stock becomes to give a delicious soup to finish off your meal!
Served Until 10.00pm
One hot pot of boiling broth* (mild or spicy)
Large plate of assorted vegetables and tofu
A choice of: one meat [beef, chicken or lamb]
or seafood [squid or prawn]
How to enjoy your Hot Pot:
All the ingredients will arrive at your table fresh and uncooked. Once the broth is boiling, place the items into the hot pot in your own time. Each ingredient will take about one minute to cook, flavouring the broth as you go. Once it’s ready, take it out of the hot pot, dip it into the sauce, and enjoy!
